Vol 8, No 2 (2020) published

2020-12-23

The editors of the International Journal of Alcohol and Drug Research (IJADR) are pleased to announce the release of the second issue of the 8th volume. This issue is the second issue to have been jointly managed by the new Co-Editors-in-Chief: Professor Neo Morojele from South Africa, and Dr Anne-Marie Laslett from Australia (see our editorial).

The issue content includes authors from Scandinavia and North America and studies from Canada, Sri Lanka, Germany and the United States. We cover a wide range of topics, with articles on the burden of disease in North America, pricing elasticity in Sri Lanka, the protective effect of marriage on substance use by sexual identity status in the US, a study of techniques that assist qualitative researchers to determine their subjectivity in Germany and a multi-level analysis of factors affecting early adolescents’ alcohol use.

We hope you find these papers inspiring and look forward to receiving more research articles, reviews, commentaries, ideas for special issues, and other papers on social and epidemiological research concerning any of the full range of addictive substances from across the globe. With IJADR we strive to improve the relatively limited geographical and gender representation of the field of alcohol and other drug research and hope you will join us in this important mission.
