Vol 11, No 1 (2023) published
The Co-Editors-in-Chief, Associate Professor Anne-Marie Laslett and Professor Neo Morojele are pleased to announce the release of the first issue of Volume 11 of the International Journal of Alcohol and Drug Research (IJADR). In the first issue for 2023, we include a large global review of the effects of alcohol consumption on sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and a European-based review of the effects of COVID-19 on drinking. Two studies from Singapore and Thailand round out this issue, detailing COVID-19’s effects on drinking, smoking and stress, and analysing the links between alcohol marketing and consumption, respectively.
As mentioned in our Editorial we are continuing to work towards the production of our Special Issue in 2023, with the theme of: Alcohol Prevention Research and Policy Development in LMICs: Facilitating Partnerships, Capacity and Impact. We welcome interdisciplinary, theoretical, qualitative and quantitative research papers as well as commentaries and reviews. By reviews we mean literature reviews, policy reviews or potentially commentaries or reviews of evidence or policy.
Of course, we continue to seek submissions to IJADR for our regular issue to publish and promote social and epidemiological research on alcohol and other drugs and foster comparative understanding of substance use and substance problems.
